Jr. Brand Strategist | Summer 2024
Soho, NY
I was recently a Jr. Brand Strategist at Forward, a brand strategy consultancy in the heart of New York City.
Here, I kept a daily pulse on culture, coordinated with recruiting agencies, scouted the best research participants, conducted qualitative research, pulled interesting insights, analyzed findings within dynamic teams, and provided valuable support building brand strategies for clients across beauty, skincare, fashion, music, tech, and food/bev.

Here's the TLDR for some of the projects that I worked on 👇

Explored the current state of sun-protection for a global makeup brand. Uncovered consumer’s relationship with sun-care products, mapped out their usage occasions, and provided insights that will help shape the future of SPF makeup products

Discovered emerging makeup trends and forecasted potential brand implications for a global makeup brand. Since the pandemic, the beauty industry has been flipped on it's head -- no makeup is the new makeup, niche beauty brands hold cultural power, and embracing age is beautifully empowering

Produced weekly digital culture briefings for a global makeup brand. Each week, we highlighted new emerging trends, creators, formats, and events shaping social media culture across fashion, music, entertainment, tech, and beauty

Developed a social media playbook and ambassador program for a heritage witch-hazel brand. Closely analyzed skincare competitors’ looking at e-commerce strategy, content cadence, creative direction, influencer partnerships, brand sentiment, and customer engagement with the brand online

Unpacked Gen Z’s short form video consumption habits and assessed their current media appetite for a global music streaming platform. Looked at time of day, format, platforms, short form vs. long form content, types of content and creators watched during each occasion, the time/attention given, and "the why"
